One of my west-coast sister-in-laws is an internist and who works primarily with the senior population.  She puts an emphasis on getting to know her patients and will often ask them what their secret to longevity is; their happiest memory; a time in their life when they struggled or how they met their significant other.

The stories of how people met their partners and the challenges they faced together over the decades are probably my favorites and are especially poignant.

​

This song tells the story of a couple from their earliest days together, starting their careers, starting their families and eventually welcoming their grandchildren .  All the while working side-by-side through good times and bad and always with a continuing sense of wonder and curiosity about 'what's next'.
